      • S&S Sagitta 35

Sparkman & Stephens - Sagitta 35. Circumnavigated several times, even singlehanded nonstop. A true offshore racer/cruiser. This handsome production yacht was built by the Sagitta Boat Company of Svendborg, Denmark in the early 1970s. Construction is solid skin fiberglass laminate with longitudinal stringers and a balsa cored deck. She is fast for a boat of her age even compared to more modern boats, especially tacking is a pure joy in this steady and well balanced design og Sagitta 35.

        • Centurion 32

Less known in the U.S. than the Contessa 32, the design specifications are nearly identical. However, Kim Holman conceived the Centurion 32 quite earlier than the Sadler design with production commencing in 1968. Sailing characteristics are at the minimum are of equal balance, speed and seaworthyness with the added attribute of a drier cockpit underway and an overall superior construction in keeping with the Wauquiez tradition. It would be fitting to acknowledge the creation of Mr. Holman and Wauquiez in what many owners believe is a true classic performance cruiser fully capable of circumnavigation, having won her class in the…

                • Kaiser Gale Force Cutter 34

A superbly built, well designed, heavy displacement cruiser. Old school all the way, but a boat that inspires a lot of confidence. Only 33 were built in the family boatyard of John Kaiser. Easy to singlehand with a cutter rig, though the large mainsail does require prompt reefing when the winds start to perk up. Great cabin layout for a couple and good storage volume for long voyages.

Any of the Reinke designs, but specifically in the 10-12 range for capable single/couple blue water boats. Specifically very interested in the twin keel designs

                              • Lindsey Globemaster 39

Designed and built by Robert “Dick” Lindsey the 39’ Motor-Sailer Globemaster design concept is the end result of the careful planning of a small “Do Anything, Go Anywhere” yacht.

The Globemaster is a true motor-sailer, not an overpowered sailboat, but rather a heavy ocean going long range motorboat with the inherent stability and dependability of a sailboat. The vessel has ample sail area, rigging and sail handling equipment to satisfy the desire to sail with the fleet when climatic conditions are the least bit favorable and is designed to sail well anywhere with safety and comfort.

A stunning little go anywhere, simple yacht with a long keel and beautiful sheer line. A few very reasonably priced examples on the market that make world cruising within reach for people with a modest budget.

I would like to see one of your well researched Blue Water articles on the Lord Nelson 41. It would serve as a comparison to the existing article on LN 36. A detailed comparison of LN 41 to HC 38, HC 41, HC 43 would also be useful as these were all expensive and well crafted blue water boats that are now being listed in $90k-$130k range.
