    • cal 39/40

The Cal 40 is a proven offshore design, and the 39 is a newer, updated version that's not quite so long in the tooth as the venerable 40. These boats are well representative of a type of ocean cruiser/racer that is generally under represented on this site. Would be great to see them here.

        • Rawson 30

The Rawson 30 is a proven bluewater cruiser that has many circumnavigations. Most owners have the Rawson 30 sailboat, sloop or cutter rigged, some with pilot houses. The Rawson 30 sailboat was designed by William Garden and built by Ron Rawson in Washington State and Canada, there were 252 sloops and 36 pilot house models built between 1959 and 1985. The Rawson 30 fiberglass sailboat is known for its strength, and many have been circumnavigating in this boat for decades.

                        • Cheoy Lee Offshore 36

Based on the successful racer 'Flying Buffalo'. Marice Declerc sold the design to Choey Lee. This production version was also sold as the FLYING BUFFALO 36. The OFFSHORE 36 was one of Cheoy Lee's most popular sailboat models.'Flying Buffalo' an extremely successful racing design of the mid-1960', on which this model is based. It has an outstanding racing record on the Great Lakes where she has won in her class in both the Chicago and Port Huron Mackinacs, setting a course record in the latter event in it's prime.

                            AMEL 46' MARAMU KETCH

Amels are focused, oceangoing machines not dock queens to be tucked ashore at the slightest breeze. The 46 Maramu is truly a classic ready to circumnavigate shorthanded or singlehanded.

                            AMEL 46' MARAMU KETCH LAYOUT

As you walk down the modest stairway to down below, you notice that the galley on 46 Maramu opens up to the saloon. All the way forward is a V-berth that provides two sea berths with lee boards. The master head is to port with the traditional hanging closet starboard side. The forward head and V-berth close off behind a watertight bulkhead.…

If the Cape Dory 25 is listed, the Pearson Ariel surely must. Below the water line they are almost identical, the main difference being the cabin top shape as well as the interior cabin layout. Solid, Sturdy, little boats. One of Albergs Best.

                                  • Morgan Out Island 41

With over 1,000 built, this is by far the most popular boat over 40' ever built. No comparably sized boat even comes close to this level of success. This is the boat people really cruise in, not a boat people just dream of. Yes, it's not particularly beautiful - and sailing performance tends to be mediocre. But, the reality is, the OI-41 has been "the boat" for more cruisers than any other. The combination of size, accommodation, construction, shoal draft, and price have made the OI-41 a pragmatic choice for generations of cruisers.
